Peace, love, and pancakes: Our new favorite breakfast diner

On the second day of 2012, Erin and I braved the long line and found our favorite breakfast diner in Denver called "Snooze".

After driving to the downtown diner and seeing a line with about 50 people outside, I told Erin we should drive to another breakfast place in Cherry Creek that I also enjoy, called "Syrup". Aren't restaurant names in Denver clever?

But my determined wife (still getting used to calling her that) convinced me that we should wait because this place is worth it. And she turned out to be right... because wives are always right. Right?

While we did wait 1 hour and 50 minutes (I know...) to be seated, Erin and I enjoyed a bloody mary and a mimosa while waiting, which made time go by a little bit faster.

What we ordered (and the menu's description):

Erin: Bella! Bella! Benny — Thin slices of prosciutto, Taleggio cheese, and perfectly poached eggs on toasted ciabatta, topped with cream cheese hollandaise, balsamic glaze and arugula.  Ciao Bella

Andrew: Ichabod Crane’s Pancakes — Our buttermilk pancakes sprinkled with streusel and topped with pumpkin cream, candied pumpkin seeds, and a   chili-spiced Vermont maple syrup. Don’t lose your head!
These coffee cups are awesome.
